Personal Life

Michael Salvadore Lynch Jr. was born and raised on the outskirts of the Canadian city of Ottawa. Ottawa lies at the junction between the Ottawa River and the Rideau River in the southernmost portion of the Canadian province of Ontario.

A young Michael moved to the U.S. with his family after his father accepted a high-profile role at a then-fledgling Austin, Texas-based technology company. He completed high school in his home city of Ottawa before moving to the Lone Star State with his mother and younger sister. He now lives in Gaston County, North Carolina.

Michael Lynch and his spouse have two children. They live in the small suburban Gaston County City of Belmont. Belmont is nestled in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, flanked by the Catawba River and its tributary, the South Fork Catawba River. The family has two dogs, both rescued from local shelters.

Away from his professional endeavors, Lynch enjoys a wide range of hobbies and interests. A lifelong basketball fan, he avidly supports the Ottawa BlackJacks Canadian professional basketball team. He also revels in cooking, DIY, fishing, playing golf, and woodworking – a hobby he picked up in 2020, which he now practices from his specially created home workshop.
